Game Recap

To quickly begin the game, just under three minutes in, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare scored. It was Bellemare’s first of the season, and as a Bolt, gave Tampa Bay a 1-0 lead. The Lightning dominated the rest of the first, while outshooting the Kraken 13-7.

Quickly to begin the middle frame, Ross Colton collected another goal for Tampa Bay. This improved the score to 2-0. Later in the period, Morgan Geekie (SEA) and Mikhail Sergachev (TB) each received penalties at different times. Both of their teams were successful in killing the penalty. The second period was fairly even as Seattle outshot the Lightning 7-5.

In the third period, the Kraken and Lightning each took a penalty respectively. On both penalties, their opponent could not convert on the power play. The clock ticked down as Tampa continued to dominate leading to their 3-0 win.

On Tuesday night, Andrei Vasilevskiy recorded a shutout in a 4-0 win versus Philadelphia. Tonight, the Russian recorded another with this being a 17-save shutout.
