The Miami Hurricanes had another nail-biter on Saturday. For the third week in a row, the Canes pulled out a win, defeating the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in a back and forth battle, 33-30. With the win, Miami improves to 5-4 (3-2 in the ACC).
Miami:
Miami’s offense would have a huge day on Saturday, being led by their ‘Big Three’. QB Tyler Van Dyke went 22-of-34 passing for 389 yards and three touchdowns. RB Jaylan Knighton would also carry a huge load, with 32 carries for 162 yards and a touchdown. And potential Biletnikoff finalist Charleston Rambo had seven receptions for a whopping 210 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Georgia Tech:
Despite being outplayed and out-gained in yards 563-329, Georgia Tech stayed in this game due to mistakes made by the Hurricanes offense.
The Yellow Jackets would be led by QB Jeff Sims, who went 21-of-38 passing for 194 yards, a touchdown and an interception. RB Jordan Mason would have 75 rushing yards on eight carries, including a 71-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Also, RB Jahmyr Gibbs had a big game for Georgia Tech. Gibbs had 67 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries. The 19-year-old also had 72 receiving yards on four receptions, including a 50-yard touchdown.
