Gators Let Go DC Todd Grantham and OL Coach John Hevesy

The Florida Gators are letting defensive coordinator Todd Grantham go along with offensive line coach John Hevesy.

Grantham, who was hired on November 29, 2017, has failed as Florida’s defensive coach. The Gators defense gave up 49 points to LSU, 34 points to Georgia and 40 points to South Carolina.

Simply, Todd Grantham being fired is long overdue for the Gators. Florida’s defense has had some abysmal performances considering their talent level.

The firing of Hevesy is surprising, however. Hevesy has worked for Head Coach Dan Mullen since Mullen was hired as Mississippi State’s coach in 2009. Hevesy also helped recruit Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott to Starkville.

  1. I love Coach Mullins, but to be honest, the defense has struggled all year. Against SC they looked confused, didn’t block at all. I could see frustration on Coach Mullen’s face. Grantham just could not put a defense together. We need someone better.
Again, I hope Coach Mullins stays. He’s such a good coach and man.
