Dolphins Sign OT Jermaine Eluemunor

Former New England Patriots OT Jermaine Eluemunor has signed with the Miami Dolphins. In addition to the signing, Miami waived OT Timon Parris.

Jermaine Eluemunor

Jermaine Eluemunor, 26, played football at Morris Knolls High School. Despite his high school team going 30-7, no college gave Eluemunor an offer. So, he ended up going to Lackawanna College in Scranton, where he would make the All-Conference Second Team in 2013. After 2013, Eluemunor was recruited by 35 colleges, where he originally chose UCLA, but then flipped to Arkansas, and finally Texas A&M. He redshirted in 2014, and didn’t make a start until the 2015 Music City Bowl. And then in 2016, Eluemunor started 12 of 13 games.

NFL Draft

Eluemunor was drafted 159th overall in the 2017 draft by the Baltimore Ravens. During his rookie year, he saw action in eight total games, starting two of them at right guard. This led to him making the PFWA All-Rookie Team. The next year, however, Eluemunor was waived, and then eventually cut as a Free Agent.

During the 2019 offseason, Eluemunor and a sixth-round pick were sent to New England for a fourth-round pick. The 26-year-old was then resigned in 2020, playing in eight games (four games at right tackle and four games at left tackle).

Now on the Dolphins, Eluemunor joins an offensive line filled with young players, including D.J. Fluker, Austin Jackson, and 2021 second-round pick Liam Eichenberg.
