Miami Clinches Playoff Spot With Win Over Boston

Coming off of a 130-124 win over the Boston Celtics on Sunday, the Miami Heat traveled to Boston on Tuesday night to battle the Celtics in what was the most important game of the season. 

And in the end, the Miami Heat clinched a playoff spot and locked the Boston Celtics into the play-in tournament with a 129-121 victory. The surging Heat have now won 10 of their last 13 games. And the Heat are now tied with Atlanta for fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

Tyler Herro made great use of his 34 minutes off the bench, sparking the second unit with 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting. Goran Dragic was also extremely efficient, scoring 17 points off of the bench in only 24 minutes. In addition, Bam Adebayo and Duncan Robinson both added 22 points.

However, Jimmy Butler had only 13 points. But, this was because he missed the whole second half with an apparent eye injury.

Despite the loss, Kemba Walker scored a season-high 36 points and seven rebounds for Boston. The New Yorker also shot an efficient 14-of-27 from the floor, including 4-of-11 from deep and 4-of-6 from the free throw line. Jayson Tatum also added 33 points and eight rebounds.
