With the 64th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have selected QB Kyle Trask out of the University of Florida.

Kyle Trask, 23, was the starting quarterback for the Florida Gators in the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He was the winner of the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award and a finalist for the 2020 Heisman Trophy.
Last year, Kyle Trask guided the Gators to the SEC Championship passing for 4,283 yards and 43 touchdowns. Understandably, he had weapons like Kyle Pitts, Kadarius Toney, and Trevon Grimes, but his arm talent and high IQ gives him a high ceiling. Trask enters an ideal situation, serving as the backup to the GOAT for the foreseeable future. Remember, Trask was a backup to Feleipe Franks just two years ago. If Trask is able to develop his game under the mentorship of Tom Brady, the Buccaneers aren’t going anywhere for years to come. It truly feels like Tampa Bay found the right successor. Eventually, Trask’s time will come.
Weapons definitely won’t be a problem for Trask either. In a way, the offensive situation for Trask is a replica of the Gators’ situation, with riches of stars around him. However, this time, he can trust the defense to get a stop for him. What a pick by the Buccaneers.
