Heat End Six-Game Skid With Win Against New York

Miami’s six-game losing streak was snapped on Monday night, as the Knicks allowed the Heat to sweep the season series, 3-0.

Recap

Jimmy Butler had yet another terrific game, scoring 15 out of his 27 points in the third quarter. Butler continues to guide Miami to wins, and this one happened to be against his former Head Coach, Tom Thibodeau.

“We knew it would be this type of that game based on the previous games we had against them,” Thibodeau said. “There wasn’t a lot of rhythm to the game. It was fight, scratch, claw every inch of the court. It’s not easy to get a rhythm in that type of game.”

In addition to Butler’s performance, Bam Adebayo dropped 20 points with 17 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Knicks shot just 41 percent and, worse, gave up 12 offensive rebounds. All-Star Julius Randle, who missed his first game of the season on Saturday, only had 22 points, shooting 7-for-17 from the field, with five turnovers. RJ Barrett also performed poorly, scoring eight points on 4-for-12 shooting.

The Knicks fell to 24-23, in fifth place, while the eighth-place Heat improved to 23-24.
