Preview

Mac Jones and Kyle Trask both look to add an SEC championship to their Heisman resume. But these quarterbacks won’t be the only stars on Saturday.

In the ESPN Week 15 Heisman Watch, 4 players in this game are in the top 7 for Heisman contenders. For Alabama, ESPN has receiver Devonta Smith at #1, and quarterback Mac Jones at #2. For Florida, quarterback Kyle Trask is at #3, and tight end Kyle Pitts is at #7.

Outstanding players are not the only thing that this SEC championship game has to offer. Alabama has the best offense in the SEC averaging 537.80 yards a game. They also lead the SEC in rushing with 33 rush touchdowns and an average of 190.10 yards per game. The Crimson Tide have a complete, all-around elite offense.

Alabama also has a very stout defense as well. They only give up 16.8 points per game. Rightfully so, Alabama definitely deserves that #1 ranking in the country. Alabama seems to have an automatic bid into the College Football Playoffs with a win or loss on Saturday.

Florida’s offense is pretty amazing too. They lead the SEC in passing yards averaging 386.40 points per game. Kyle Trask has a nice complement as well with his receiving core helping him out.

Author’s Prediction

Alabama- 45      Florida- 28

Expect to see a lot of points in this primetime matchup. Both of these offensives will show up on Saturday and put on an absolute show. Florida will keep this one close for the first quarter, but Alabama is too explosive and will run away with it in the 2nd half. Alabama is by far the best team in college football, and Florida won’t be able to keep up. With this win for Alabama, they will lock up the #1 seed in the College Football Playoffs
