Miami Foils Boston 103-84, the Heat are Finals Bound!

The Miami Heat came out with a vengeance in a game seven where they were looked down for even being in it in the first place. A looming 3-0 series started with the last three games not going the way the Heat wanted to, but that just fueled the fire. Meanwhile, the Celtics were looking to become the first team in history to win a series after going down 3-0 in the playoffs.

Defensive Anchor

The Miami Heat came out and showed their defensive presence that hadn’t necessarily been the case the previous outings. Jimmy Butler locked down Boston’s key players and did it with a chip of an eighth seed on his shoulders. The Heat held one of the league’s offensive powerhouse’s to just 41 points in the first half of the matchup.

Never Let Up

The second half underwent and the Heat did not let off the gas pedal. Miami is a team that is gritty and ready for battle. Caleb Martin looked like an MVP candidate in game seven. Marin finished this crucial game with 26 points on an extremely 11/16 shooting performance. Jimmy Butler ended the game with 28 points while being the alpha and the anchor the Heat needed. Just in time to make a spectacular game and an eventful series, the Miami Heat got it done.

Jayson Tatum was held to just 14 points. While he did injure his ankle on the first play of the game, he played the entire contest.

Finals Bound

Miami and all of its grit, toughness, and endurance are heading to the NBA Finals.

Jimmy Butler will lead the Heat into the hardest task they’ve faced all year. Miami will look to contain the MVP, Nikola Jokic, and keep the Nuggets in check and take home the trophy. It’s time to lock in, here we go.
