Steve Goldstein to Call Dolphins Preseason Exhibition Games

The Miami Dolphins have hired Steve Goldstein as the team’s play-by-play announcer.

Goldstein, who currently calls televised games for the Florida Panthers, is set to sit alongside Jason Taylor in the booth this August. The two will work together for the two preseason broadcasts brought to Dolphins fans on the local level.

Goldstein replaces Dick Stockton, a local legend who recently retired from his position in the booth this past year. Stockton announced the games for nearly a decade before finally calling it quits.

During his time in the Sunshine State, Steve Goldstein has taken on various roles with different teams. He has worked in Florida for 27 years, serving as the Dolphins pre-game and post-game radio host as well as working with the Panthers. He has also called tennis matches for The Tennis Channel, USTA World Feed and even ESPN.

Miami will begin its preseason on August 14th, when the Dolphins take on the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. The other two games will be home against Atlanta (August 21) and at Cincinnati (August 29). Goldstein and Taylor will announce the first two matchups, with the third and final one meeting the national stage on CBS.

Currently, there is no particular crew assigned to broadcast that game.
