If Tampa wanted to keep pace with top teams in the East, they desperately needed two good showings this past weekend. And that is just what they got. Several times this season, Bassel Harfouch had flirted with a triple-double. In Friday’s matchup with Gulf Coast, he stuffed the stat sheet with 25-10-12 to go along with three steals and a block in a 129-122 home win. Tray Boyd III continued hot scoring as he topped the 20-point mark for the third straight contest, pouring in a game-high 33.
For the Sunday matinee, the Titans hosted an Atlanta team on the backend of a back-to-back away from home, a trip which began with a 110-85 loss to the Raleigh Firebirds. Once again Harfouch would stuff the stat sheet, scoring 30 while pulling down 13 boards and dishing out seven assists in a crucial 99-90 victory. Boyd III would make it four straight games of 20 or more in the win, and the Titans turned the corner towards the back half of the season with a winning record.
They’ll head into Week 8 at 7-6 and once again face Atlanta (on the road) and Gulf Coast (at the Bish). Head back right here on Friday night and Sunday afternoon to watch!
