Tom Brady Signs Contract Extension With Buccaneers

Is Tom Brady human? That’s the million dollar question every NFL fan wants to know.

If there’s one thing for certain, it’s that Brady managed to 1-up his former head coach Bill Belichick yet again. Belichick may have made a splash in the headlines today after re-signing QB Cam Newton, but Brady garnered even more speculation from sports fans. The 43 year-old quarterback took the world by storm today after he signed a one-year contract extension with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady is coming off a season in which he threw for 4633 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

The extension locks him into Tampa through the 2022 season, as there are three extra years on the contract due to an effort by Brady and the Buccaneers to save cap space. As long as the GOAT avoids injury or retirement, he will become the oldest starting NFL QB at the age of 45 in 2022. The restructured contract should also give the Buccaneers an extra $19 million cap room, meaning they”ll have a strong chance at retaining most of their core in free agency.

Brady’s Leadership

If there’s one thing that the NFL has learned so far, it’s that Tom Brady is a team player. His recognition to put the values of his team before his own is second to none. It’s safe to say Tampa has a great chance of playing in next February’s big game due to his valiant contributions. As for now, go Bucs!
